Meet Evilynne -- Evi for short... Evi is the founding member of the Order of Moonhallow. 12 other witches (for a total of 13) make up this exclusive coven. They spend most of their time flying over the countryside and can often be found spooking the daylights out of the townfolk! But once every 7 years, they all gather for a different purpose - The time has come to reap another crop of pumpkin men. Evilynne's task is to combine all the ingredients in the cauldron and stir the pot... she is keeper of the sacred words of Sam Hane, Master of the Pumpkin Race.
This bust is a OOAK - one of a kind - sculpture made entirely by hand. No molds of any kind were used. The base is part of an antique lamp that I have repurposed because it is nice and heavy. Since this is a life size sculpture, the base needed to be quite heavy and this is. We wouldn't want Evilynne to topple over and bump her warty nose after all! Evilynne is made of clay. She has been hand painted and sealed so you may enjoy her for many years to come. Her hair is natural wool and was applied a small section at a time. This gives it a very realistic look. You can see her scalp through the thinning areas... just like you should be able to on a woman this age! Hey, but that is why she wears such a terrific hat! All decked out in Halloween finery, Evilynne sports a wrap that is closed with a vintage brooch and a hat that is decorated in real feathers and a vintage rhinestone pin. Her wrap is not removable, but her hat is so she can be displayed with it on or off. Oh, and just one more thing... try as she might, Evilynne just could not seem to get rid of that hair growing out of the huge wart on her chinny chin chin, so she stopped trying!
